Rediscover the Joy You Were Born With
A 4-Day Retreat to Reconnect with Your Playful Spirit
April 3-6, 2025
Suffolk, Potash Barns
(Limited Spots Available)
Did you know?
The average 4-year-old laughs 300 times a day, but as adults, that number drops drastically.
The responsibilities, routines, and stresses of life often replace the playfulness we once embraced so naturally. At The Happy Movement, we believe joy isn’t something we lose; it’s something we forget.
This retreat is your invitation to remember!
At The Happy Movement, we believe joy isn't something we lose; it's something we forget.
The retreat is divided into two deeply meaningful stages:
Re-connecting with your Inner Child.
(Days 1-2)
These two days are dedicated to reconnecting with the playful spirit of our younger selves.
Through drama games, creative movement, and light-hearted activities, we’ll embrace the joy of playing just as we did as kids - freely, with curiosity, and without inhibition.
We’ll laugh, explore, and reconnect with the sense of wonder that childhood brings.
Honouring the Person You Are Now.
(Days 3-4)
With the joy and freedom we’ve reawakened, we’ll shift focus to the woman we are today, carrying that childlike spirit into our adult lives.
Through movement, breathwork, and reflective practices, we’ll explore what it means to hold space for our playful selves while embracing the fullness of our adult identities. We’ll celebrate and honour the balance between the wisdom of maturity and the innocence of childhood.
Are you tired of being stuck in the monotony of life, where everything feels a bit... meh?
Maybe you've dipped your toes (or plunged headfirst) into the world of self-help, wellness routines, and shadow work, only to feel like it’s all work and no play. You’ve done the journaling, sat through endless meditations, and tried to manifest your way to happiness, yet something’s still missing.
What if the missing piece isn’t more work on yourself? What if it’s less?
This retreat is for you if…
You want to reconnect with your playful side: Remember that carefree, creative energy you used to have? It’s still there, waiting to come out and play.
You feel bored or stuck: Life has become one big to-do list, and it’s sucking the fun out of everything.
You’re longing for joy: The kind that bubbles up naturally, without effort.
You crave lightness and laughter: Not another checklist of self-improvement tasks, but genuine moments that make you feel alive.
You’re done with “shoulds”: You're ready to stop being told what to do by an industry that sometimes forgets that happiness can be simple.
This isn’t about fixing yourself. You’re not broken. This is about giving yourself permission to let go, explore, and just be.
We’ve created a space where you can:
Laugh until your cheeks hurt.
Move your body in ways that feel good.
Rediscover the joy of play through theatre-inspired activities, yoga and other creative practices.
Meet like-minded people who are also ready to trade stress for silliness.
Feel the freedom that comes from simply having fun, with no expectations or judgment.
So, if you’re over the grind of life and done chasing a version of yourself that’s always “working” on something, come join us. This retreat is about tapping into the joy you were born with - and most importantly, realizing it’s been within you all along.
It’s time to rediscover the joy you were born with!
Why Play?
At The Happy Movement, we know that:
Play heals and restores us, helping us remember the joy of simply being.
Joy is transformative, especially when we create space to honour it.
Connection is essential, and through our retreat, we build a supportive community where joy and authenticity can thrive.
If you’re ready to rekindle your joy, celebrate your inner child, and honour the woman you are today, we welcome you to join us for this four-day retreat.
Rediscover the joy you were born with - it's waiting for you.
Your Retreat Reset Button.
This isn't just a getaway - it's your permission slip to fully unplug, play without judgment, and remember who you were before the world told you to "grow up."
Every moment is an invitation to reconnect with joy, from morning movement to evening reflections, from shared laughter to peaceful solitude.
